Coming across surface design, book publishing, and all the other areas of art I get into these days has been the best thing to happen to me professionally.  I absolutely love my job!  

My journey, quite by accident, started out about two decades ago when I landed a job in a graphic design firm.  In the beginning, I couldn’t wait to go to work every day.  It was the most fun I had ever had on a job!  But, after a few years there, I found myself getting less and less creative, less and less productive. I wasn’t enjoying creating what someone else wanted me to create. The more creative I was expected to be, the less creative I was. As luck would have it, I was downsized from that job due to the economy.  I didn’t touch any graphic design or photo manipulation software package for the next 18 years.  I wanted nothing to do with it.  (And, as a general rule, I still don’t do custom work.)

Approximately 2015, I stumbled upon digital scrapbooking.  Oh….my…GOD!  I was instantly hooked and sought to learn everything I could about it.  

During that education process, a Photoshop Artistry website landed in front of me.  From that point forward, I spent all of my time learning that craft of creating digital fine art, which lead me from one area of design/art to the next. 

On each leg of my journey, I stopped a bit to test out the new art style, and that’s how I ended up with so many different product types that I sell.  I can’t decide on any particular one, so I chose to keep them all!

My fine art pieces have been published about 22 times in the international magazine, “Living the PhotoArtistic Life” between the years 2017 and 2018, with me being the featured artist in June of 2016.  Some of those pieces have been sold in an art gallery local to my home!
